Film Screening (UON Cinema Club): ‘The Meaning of Life’

September 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Philosophy goes to the movies in this next feature presentation by Flicks & Chill: the UON Cinema and Movie Club!

Released in 1983, The Meaning of Life is the final film by legendary comedy troupe, Monty Python. From birth to death (and with some noticeable detours), it follows the various stages of life through a series of hilarious and highly irreverent sketches, with the group’s trademark blend of satire and absurdity.

The guest speaker this time is Dr Hamish Ford, who will discuss the philosophical undertones of Monty Python, as well as the use of film as a medium for philosophy.

Free popcorn and drinks!
