If you’ve come here from overseas to study, you may not know that much about the NSW Police – how they support and protect you, how to contact them, or even what they look like.
You may also have questions about public transport, road regulations in Australia, going out in town, personal safety, or how to report a crime.
In this session, Multicultural Community Liaison Officer Trish Owens will speak about her role, and how she is able to help you if you ever need support. She will be joined by members of the NSW Police, who will talk to you about what they do in the community, and dispel some common myths about law enforcement in Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you may have, become more comfortable/familiar with police out in the community, and get a photo with some cops!
Afternoon tea will be served following the presentation.
