Online Webinar: How to Land a Job in Academia
May 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
NUPSA has partnered with the UON Careers and Development Team to run a 4-part workshop series in May, aimed at improving your employability skills and preparing you for your future career. Each session will run as both an on-campus workshop and an online webinar, so you’ll be able to access this content regardless of your location!
This session is part of a series of ‘Nuts & Bolts’ workshops on academic practice for research students run by the Careers and Student Development Office.
The contemporary university is a highly competitive and professional workplace, which requires a wide variety of specialised skill-sets. In this session, we will provide detailed, practical advice and resources on the job-seeking process to help PhD students and recent graduates find employment in academia.
To access the Online Clubhouse where this webinar will run, go to nupsa.edu.au/online-workshops and click ‘Enter the Online Clubhouse’. Try to log in at least five minutes before the webinar starts, so you can familiarise yourself with the space and set up your webcam and/or microphone (if you would like to use either of these).
