Overcoming Perfectionism Workshop Series

An event every week that begins at 1:30pm on Wednesday, repeating until August 22, 2018

The ‘Overcoming Perfectionism’ group program involves a series of four 90-minute interactive workshops, covering the following topics:

· What is perfectionism?
· What keeps perfectionism going?
· When is perfectionism a problem?
· How is perfectionism different from healthy striving?
· Strategies for reducing perfectionism and managing procrastination
· Reducing self-criticism and developing self-compassion

The series of workshops will be held at Callaghan from 1.30 – 3pm on the following dates:

· Session #1 – Wed 1st Aug (Wk 1)
· Session #2 – Wed 8th Aug (Wk 2)
· Session #3 – Wed 15th Aug (Wk 3)
· Session #4 – Wed 22nd Aug (Wk 4)

It is expected that participants attend all sessions, as course material builds on learning in prior sessions.
The workshops will be conducted by Emma Kerr (Clinical Psychologist) and Katrina Hamall (Provisional Psychologist) from Student Care and Equity.
This workshop series is free for students of University of Newcastle.
You will receive an email in the week prior to the first session confirming your registration and providing pre-reading material.
