Timebanking is a community program that allows the voluntary exchange of services between members of a local Timebanking group. You earn credits for sharing your time, then trade these credits for services offered by another member. Everyone can be part of Timebanking as everyone has something to give.
Timebanking can help build a network of support within your community by creating connections through sharing skills. Local communities have their own members’ webpage where they register offers and requests, and can access the offers, or provide the services on this list.
This week in The Space, we’ve invited Angela Chaperon of the Department of Family and Community Services to talk about Timebanking in more detail. Come along and discover how to give a couple of hours of your time, and gain access to the abundance of skills and talents offered in your community.
