Student Representative (SR)
The SR Support Officer guides and assists Executive members throughout the year in their training, their knowledge and the performance of their duties. They induct newly elected students to their roles, help connect them with students who’ve approached NUPSA with issues relevant to their portfolio, and provide them with ongoing support and advice.
The SR Support Officer is also responsible for the day-to-day logistics and management of NUPSA’s office and affairs. They organise meeting documents and minutes, manage financial archiving and correspond with stakeholders across the University to ensure NUPSA meets the needs of postgraduate students.
Well hello there, fancy meeting you here! I’m Georgia, your Student Representative Support Officer (SRSO). I’m a UON graduate with a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons). I have lofty, but currently unrealised, ambitions of commencing postgraduate qualifications.
I’m here to manage the day-to-day running of the office and to assist the Executive in achieving their goals and supporting you. You can find me here in the NUPSA office Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, and you are always welcome to drop in and say hi! I will be extra friendly if you enter singing Dolly Parton’s ‘9 to 5’ and if you add some interpretive dance moves you may be my new best friend. I’m open to other song choices so don’t feel I’m limiting your creativity.
I am a devoted cat lady who is the proud co-guardian of 3 extremely dysfunctional and ungrateful fluffy felines. I like to think I have a variety of interests besides my pets. I love fancy hats, delicious food and soiled wigs. I am also partial to a good fillum, a soulful tune and citrus cocktails (to be honest I love most cocktails). So as you can tell, I am a women of complex interests and a cornucopia of moods. In addition to this I have the awesome ability to be able to nap in almost any situation, stay tuned as I am trying to start an active napping campaign. One day I’ll be Insta famous.
