Online Workshop: Self-Care in a Global Pandemic!
April 7 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Dramatic title, but seriously – this is important subject matter.
Postgraduate study, as you know, is an arduous journey at the best of times. Couple this with unprecedented social change (you know, the C-word) and it can be enormously taxing on your physical and mental health.
Self-care can take a myriad of forms, so this workshop will focus on understanding your own self-care needs and how these may flex and/or change. Self-care is not a rigid set of rules to live by; it is a mindset and practices to support you, delivered by you. Good self-care is an invaluable tool to have in your skill set, and can enhance both your personal and professional life.
If you are worried about how you can adapt your lifestyle to this brave new world, we are here to help! Let’s have discussions, problem solve and brainstorm solutions to suit you. We know you are being flooded with information and resources, but we think self-care is going to be a cornerstone of managing our lives during these difficult times.
Many of us are also very worried about how we can care for and support others at the moment, so please make some time to attend this workshop. After all: if you can’t care for yourself, how are you going to care for others?
This two-hour workshop, led by NUPSA Student Representative Support Officer Georgia Killick, will teach you about the importance of self-care and help you develop practical strategies you can implement in your daily life.
